OH..... Good Point

Stuart is always arguing with us, and all of the arguments usually end with him saying
"Oh....Good Point"

It's become a family joke, and as I was organizing my craft room, I found my iron-on letters
and made him this t-shirt out of one of his pj shirts.

More Snow.

Well, today a storm hit, and I think it is the biggest one yet this year!! Here is a list of the images below

the back door (the snow is NOT Drifted - that is the level in the back yard

the driveway - last night it was totally clear - we measure the depth - 26 inches

That me standing at the base of the driveway. I'm in the street, right up against the snow in the driveway. We took this picture becuase when our neighbors drove by, the snow was level with the bottom of the windows in thier minivan

The fourth one down is me trying to climb back up to Joseph, who is trying to shovel from the top down. We got about 1/2 down the driveway - and there was another 1/2 inch . It's snowing pretty hard.

The big storm

I've been meaning to put up these pictures of the snow here. This is what we got 3 days before christmas.

This image is our neighbors across the street. We aren't sure what they were thinking, but you can see how deep it was in the driveway

This image is what it looked like when you opened the back door. Notice you can't see the bottom of the doorframe or the carpet. It is over my knees in the backyard (and the backyard doesn't get any drifts - the wind blows into the front of the house.

This is what we had to shovel out when you opened the garage door. We really need to buy a snowblower, but Joseph says the work out is good for him.

Just in case you think I'm exagerating about the snow, call Liz. She thought I was, and was really suprised when she came up here on the 23rd. Right now the piles next to the driveway are over my head, from where we have tossed the snow that was in the driveway. Salt Lake received about 17" more than the normal 12" for Decemeber. I can't find our mailbox, and if this keeps up, I'm afraid we'll lose a car if we leave it outside!. But Joseph and Stuart love it, I'm still undecided. We'll see how I feel in March.

Christmas with the Carney's

Because of the Snow storm christmas eve.... we couldn't make it home. But we were able to infuse a little magic this year. Stu was starting to wonder (I won't say what, just in case little kids are reading this) but with a little help from my brother, all of his gifts were under the Christmas tree where we were. We ended up crashing at Matt and Crenda's. Joseph and I shared a twin mattress on the floor in the nursery with Andrew, my parents had the airmattress in the office, and Stuart and Aaron slept on the floor in the upstairs hallway. Crenda loves tradition, so we put up the baby gate at the top of the stairs and rigged it with jingle bells so no one could sneak down stairs. Stuart wasn't very excited, he was expecting to not get anything until we drove home later that morning, so he slept in. The funniest moment for me was when I got up in the middle of the night to use the little girls room, and EVERYONE (and I mean everyone, including Andrew and Stuart) were snoring like I've never heard before. I wish I could have taped it, it was unbelievable. We got up the next morning, and had breakfast all piled on Crenda's bed (another tradition) before we headed downstairs. Stuart began to be excited for Andrew.... who was bouncing off the walls -all though I'm pretty sure that was becuase of all of the people, not that it was christmas. Needless to say, when Stu got downstairs, the first words out of his mouth were "there really is a Santa!" It made Christmas fun for all of us. Of course, my parents out did themselves, but they always do and they love doing it. It was nice to have everyone together. The only one missing was Dan.

The Picture on the Top was from our Christmas Lunch on Christmas Eve, when we did our traditional Christmas Pie and Scripture reading (not in that order) Stu loves his Nerf Pellet gun, but I'm not sure how I feel about it, especially since the several of the pellets (which have suction cups on the end) are now stuck to the windows in the living room -the windows at the top of the vaulted ceiling, 20 ft up. They haven't fallen down yet, and I don't own a ladder that tall, so I guess they will be there for a while, unless someone has a suggustion for getting them down.

The middle picture is Andrew on his new trike. It's kinda cool, the handle that you see on the back is so the parents can push and steer until the kids can do it themselves. He loves it, and love when Stuart takes him out for rides. Stuart is becoming his favorite person, Stu is one of the 3 words that he says. Mama and Dad are the other 2. He follows Stuart everywhere and has to be doing what ever stuart is doing, or eating whatever stuart is eating. Stuart had something profound to say about... "this means I have to be good, huh? Cause otherwise I'm going to screw him up right?" Of course, if this is the motivation he needs, I'm all for it.

This picture is Stuart Christmas morning, when he discovered that Santa is real, when he saw his bike.
And last but not least, here is and a cookie. He likes Aunt Sarah's cookies (a lot)

Christmas with the Tveter's

Here is Dad, finally getting his wish......someone at the piano and his family singing Christmas Carols. This was Christmas Eve, after a fun dinner. We were glad that Em's kids were back from Tom's house and could join us. The only scary point of the night, was the drive there. A large storm blew in and the roads were a mess and visability next to nothing. But, I guess we have great tires, becuase we never lost traction

This is Em and her new Husband, Mark. He got back from the United Arab Emmerits (I hope I have that right). He flew in about an hour before the Party at the Uncle John's and Aunt Corrine's. That Party was a lot of Fun, especially meeting Alan and Amber's new baby! Dad had the camera that night..... I'm suprised that there aren't more pictures.
