Stuart's Latest Adventures

Spring time in Utah is an interesting phenomenon! It was 73 degrees up at the house, but there is still snow on the ground. Stuart and his friends we outside, 1/2 of them on one team, throwing snowballs, the other 1/2 on the other team with water guns! Talk about a clashing of modifiers! But they were having a great time. ( see the bottom image)

I was loving it as well. This winter has been hard... and the spring is very welcome. I had every window in the house open this afternoon, it was wonderful!!!!

The top image is from a road trip we took up to montana last weekend! Stu is standing on the continental Divide, and I have one more picture of Stu as we cross into a state that he has never been in. Montana is beautiful! the southern portion (south of Butte) looks like the road to Ukiah, and north of Butte looks like the foothills of the Sierra's. Missoula, where we went, reminded me ofAuburn. On the way out of town, we saw a cool train. It had 6 engines - and all of them were different - very different paint schemes - Stuart insisted that we take a picture, so as we are doing 70 on the freeway, next to the tracks, I've got the window open to take the picture (which came out pretty good considering) the Engineer saw, and waved at Stu and honked the horn, which thrilled Stuart to no end. For him, that was one of the best parts of the trip. I've added a couple of the train pic's because I know Dad will want to see them.

Just catching up

These picture are from Easter. Stuart and Andrew colored eggs together at our house. Andrew will now say Mama, Dada, Stu and Joe, but won't say Sarah - or any variation. He just points at me. He does love Aunt Sarah's bathtub - and asks to take a bath everytime he's over

Not too much more that I can put up here on the blog has been happening lately.

Stuart's school play was last week - he did a great job. He was in the Chorus - and stood in the front row - dead center. The best part is that he actually SANG!!! We have video- but my husband, with his film degree is currently editing it - so that it looks cool. Hopefully he'll have it done soon. I'll post a couple of short clips when he does. The play was about the history of the flag. The kids sang the Star Spangled Banner- and signed it at the same time. We had a lot of fun.

We still need to learn our way around here. Stuart's school is on the south side - and we thought we would take him to get an icecream after the play. But the only place we could find was a Maggie Moos - and I'm just not willing to pay over $5 for an icecream!!! So we ended up at Wendy's and had frosties instead.

We are still desperately waiting for spring. We spent the weekend with our friends in Smithfield, and they are starting to talk about planting the spring cool weather crops - onion, peas, and spinach. We still have over 2 ft of snow in our yard - thanks to the last couple of spring snow storms. Infact we are getting pelted right now - I can't see across the street - although - that is mostly becuase we are literaly in the clouds. Joseph loves it way up here---- but I'm not quite sold. We'll have to see how the summer is.

Hopefully we'll have more news soon.
