Spring has Sprung

Yes, at our house, its spring - whether or not the weather cooperates.  Ethan was thrilled to be able to spend so much time outside today, running around, playing with his ball - just being a boy outside.  We were able to get all the posts in the ground, for the short fence that will separate the lawn and play area from the garden.  I'll try to get the fencing up this week.

Joseph also picked up my birthday present/Valentines day surprise - a green house - and we were able to get the foundation in today (which should be the hardest.)  Stuart has monday off, so we will work on it more then - hopefully be able to get the frame up. so I can work in the plexiglass panels.

Here is the site before we started.  The fence posts will separate the lawn from garden area.

The boys bringing out 1/2 of the foundation frame

Ethan has to help - he won't let us do anything by ourselves.

Good Hard physical labor for the teenager

this face was too cute to pass up

and here is the frame - in the ground, ready to go.  We will get the frame up, and then pack the dirt tight to hold it in place.  I can't wait to start getting my seedlings started!

Christmas Prep 2013

the Clan Tveter is having a great time getting ready for the holidays.  And enjoying changes for our family.  I am now at home with Ethan.  I think he is enjoying it.  He is growing like mad, and learning something new everyday.  His latest accomplishment?  counting to 10 all by himself.

He decided to help us put the lights on the tree upstairs.  He did a pretty good job with it.

and Padme is right into the spirit of things here.

The city hosts a caroling sing a long-  and Santa came to visit.  This was his first time on Santa's lap, and there was no screaming.  Of course, not particularly excited.  More just .. um?  what is the point of this again??

and today, we decided to bake cookies.  He helped - and had a lot of fun - even when he was eating the flour

nah.... forget sprinkling.  We are just going to dump.  Much faster.
