I thought we got away from this...

So.... we had to dig the cars out this evening.... so Michael and Racheal could leave.... the plow came thru around 6pm...... this is at 10:30
What ever it was that hit Matt and Crenda last night, got to us tonight. there is about 9 -10 inches that came down in the last few hours......and it is supposed to keep it up all night.

She is officially ours

So she is officially ours now. Here is a better image,.... she is really a great cat.... it is nap time here

Here are a few pictures from our trip to Temple square. Ithought that Matt took the picture of the temple...but Joseph says that this one was his.... Matt's was from another angle..... I'll let them fight it out....... Whoever took it, it is a beauty...... I think we'll print that one and change out the one we have up from last year. And there is a picture for Grandma.... of her boys

Meet Padme

we are currently fostering her..... to see how she and Yoda get along..... each meeting is getting better... we'll see how it goes, but we think it will go well. The boys have decided to name her Padme...... to go with Yoda....... and I think I like it......... it seems to fit.

Enrichement Night

This year, we are sharing traditions for Enrichment night. They will be visiting 4 different homes in the ward, and ours is one of them. I'll be sharing Chewy cookies and Christmas Pie. Here is a preview of the Living Room... I was aiming to have it look like it belongs in a Magazine.... but that will take a few more years.....

The good news??? I had all of these decorations.

Tomorrow, I have to finsih the Family room and Kitchen, and then clean everything. We have the Tree in the basement done, you can see Joseph and stuart starting it. It is the live tree, and it smells sooooo good. Enrichment is Wednesday night.

and--- just in case I didn't have enough to do?? I am also singing a special musical # that night. This is going to be a busy week!!!

Thanksgiving

I know... I should post more.... so here are a few from Thanksgiving.


First... it was just the 3 of us this year, which was nice. Stuart recieved his first lesson on cooking a Turkey, and he made the jello salad by himself.

we ended up with over a quart of gravy!!!!







And of course...... the pies!!!! We took pie over to the Rick's, but this year I ended up making 4 pumpkin, 1 apple, 1 lemone meringue (pictured - isn't it pretty??) and a chocolate mouse..... of course, at the dinner on Sunday.... there were 25 people..............

Snowman quilt top

I am so excited. It has taken a year to put this quilt top together...... every block has been blanket stitched by hand.

now all I have to do is quilt it..... but I think I'm going to leave it up for a few days.... while I catch up on other projects.........

We live in the country

We still have disagreements with Stuart as to whether or not we live in the countryside... or a suburb......

I believe the pictures prove everything.......we were stuck behind them in the road.

Sunset..... or Sunrise????

I was sitting at my computer working this morning.... and noticed the glow outside my window. The blinds were pink... so I opened the window - to see this! I know it looks like a sunset.... but this was the sunrise this morning at 7:45!

How does the saying go......Red sky night..sailor delight... Red sky morning...sailors take warning..

I guess the beuatiful fall weather will be ending soon.

We joke often that if you don't like the weather.... wait 15 minutes.
well... these pictures were taked 2 hours apart.... close to the same spot today. I think it shows quite the difference! The amazing thing is that the snow was taken first!

Why I've been so Busy

And the scary thing is- we aren't done yet -
and we've frozen as much as we have canned!

I am helping Nathan with homework - and here is the project for his foods class for this quarter. He did 99.9% all of the work.
