I just had to take a  take a moment and share this.  At work today, I received an email.  We process emails for some clients.  In this particular message, was a request that my customer build a store closer to their home, so they no longer  "had to dump tons of money" at their competitor.

Deciding that I should provide good customer service, I looked up the address of the closet store to this customer.  It is approximately 6.4 miles away, a 15 min drive.  Carol, my assistant asked "how close is the competitors store?  So we looked that up too.  It is was 5.9 miles, with a 12 min drive.

Um.  Is this guy serious?  How have we become that society?  Personally, I drive over 13 miles to get to one of these stores.  But due to a 1/2 mile, he won't shop there?

Are we really becoming such a self centered society?  Just something to think about.
