Here is the new fabric I got "for Christmas" (thanks Mom!)
the image doesn't quite do it justice. I LOVE these fabrics. This one will be a log cabin lap quilt for me, and will match the Library, so that is where it will live, on the chaise. (which I will be recovering in cream soon! - great Grandmas old chair.)
Here is the first project I have planned for this year. I love this fabric collection, and since I have organized my quilting... I can see all of my patterns. I really liked this one, and forgot I had the book. I know it isn't very creative, to just do the same colors..... but I think this will be beautiful. I'll be using the stripe for the borders and binding.
Watch for the next 2 projects. I'll be designing them myself, so wait and see!!
So... I was bit by the organizing bug. I've had my quilting supplies in baskets in the closet, and scrapbooking out on the bookcases. Which - as I started thinking about it, was backwards. I quilt MUCH more than I scrapbook. So I started rearranging things this afternoon. I moved my serger to the other side, in a nook, so it is out of the way when I don't need it. I still have to organize the fabric, but at least it is generally sorted into colors. The baskets are current projects. So now, everything is out where I can see it, and get to it as I'm working, instead of digging thru baskets in the closet. Even the cutting area should work better.
